Missions News
Please pray for issues facing the spread of the gospel as Paul wrote in Colossians 4:2, 3a Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ.
ISLAMIC JIHADIST COUP IN CHAD POSES MAJOR THREAT - While rebels attacked the Chadian capital N'Djamena on 2 February their clean-shaven, suit-wearing spokesman was telling Aljazeera TV that this was a domestic uprising against dictatorship and corruption. However the truth is this rebellion is being sponsored by Sudan and Saudi Arabia to effect regime change in Chad and install a pro-Arab, Wahhabi regime loyal to Khartoum (Sudan). The coup has forced the postponement of sending a 3700-strong UN- sponsored, EU humanitarian force to Chad and Central African Republic to protect Darfurian refugees. Chad is 55 percent Muslim and 28 percent Christian. If this plot succeeds it will be a major coup for Sudan, Wahhabi Islam and Arabism and it would doubtless herald an era of unprecedented persecution for the Church in Chad. Please pray for God to uphold the cause of Chad's oppressed and give wisdom, strength and peace to the church in Chad.

Persecuted Christians Prayer Group - Do you have a burden for our Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world who are undergoing persecution? This group gets together 1:00 - 2:00 pm each Wednesday except for the first one to lift up persecuted Christians in prayer. It is not necessary to make a weekly commitment to attend. For more information call Beth Ann Doughty.
CRPC takes seriously the Lord’s command to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Under the
oversight of our Session, the Missions Committee recommends the missionaries and
mission organizations that CRPC may support.
Other duties managed by the committee include: deciding on a yearly budget, planning mission
trips, and keeping the congregation informed through bulletin inserts, bulletin
boards, the church web site, posted letters, speakers and Minute for Ministry updates so all can pray
effectively. If you are a CRPC member and are considering being on the missions committee, please contact Anne Hughes.
