No matter how sophisticated a commerce package is, you need to have the flexibility to customize your storefront as well as the product views in order to attract customers and generate sales. Additionally, no matter how well designed your store is, if the purchase process is too cumbersome, your customers will go elsewhere. StoreSense recognizes this and offers the flexibility to customize partnered with a customer-friendly shopping environment and check-out process.

StoreSensePowerful Searching Capabilities

Customize the search options presented to shoppers based on what works best for your type of business. Offer a catalog search by keyword, product name, manufacturer, SKU, category, sub-category and/or price range. Allow customers to enter their own search request in a text box. Or offer a drop down box of available choices to guarantee a successful search.

Indicate the maximum number of products to appear on a page when search results are returned. Show the number of items returned in a successful search and customer's location in catalog. For example, Products Found 30, displaying 1-10. This can be especially valuable if you have a large inventory, where a very general search could return a large number of products.

Every search is logged, providing you with insights into what items your visitors are interested in. Even if they don't buy.

Items to be purchased are placed in an electronic shopping cart. The cart shows all items in the cart, their price, and estimated shipping charges. Visitors can view their cart at any time. A cart is valid for as long as you choose, allowing the visitor to complete the purchase later.

Designing Your Store - From the Shopper's Perspective

When designing your store, you have the option of organizing your catalog by category, product name, or manufacturer. Products can be associated with multiple categories and/or sub-categories. Associating a product with multiple categories can increase a shopper's success in finding a specific product. Customize all views seen by the shopper, including product views, shopping cart, invoices, and shipping notices. As an additional element of design flexibility each product and category can have their own unique look and feel.

Allow the customer to purchase directly from the Catalog list page (search results), or link to more detailed product information before choosing to purchase.

StoreSense provides a direct link to all products currently on sale. This link can be used throughout the site and works nicely with the "Auto-countdown to special events" feature, such as Days Until Christmas.

Allow customers to view, search for and purchase products from your store whenever and however they wish. StoreSense features support for wireless mobile platforms such as PDAs and WAP phones, so your shoppers can spend more time in, and ultimately buy more from, your store.

Create an electronic shopping mall that makes participating stores easily accessible to shoppers. You can even allow searches across all member stores, by product, category, or manufacturer, ensuring that shoppers can locate what they need quickly and easily.

Checkout

The entire purchase process is SSL enabled, reassuring customers that their personal information is transmitted securely. Additionally, all payment information is encrypted. Support for real-time credit card processing is available via AuthorizeNet, CyberCash, CyberSource, E-Commerce Exchange, SurePay and Verisign.

The purchase process is very easy and straightforward. New customers are asked to provide their billing information and address. Next, they are presented with an online invoice/receipt showing the details of their order, including tax and shipping. They are asked to confirm or cancel. That's it. Quick and easy.

Existing customers just provide their e-mail address and password. They are then presented with the details of their order. Again, quick and easy.

Optionally, customers can indicate that a purchase is a gift. A separate ship to address is gathered along with the recipient's name and a personal message. StoreSense even features a gift wrapping option.

Customers are presented with familiar payment options. Standard options include: major credit cards, store card, checks and money orders. Additional methods of payment options are purchase orders and internal department orders.

Customer Service

After your customers have purchased keep them informed of their order status, without creating extra work or burdening your internal staff. StoreSense Professional allows you to automate many customer service functions, freeing your time to manage other aspects of your business.

Order confirmation is sent to the customer via e-mail immediately after a purchase. This helps to reassure the customer that their order is being processed. The information contained in the confirmation can be customized to fit your store requirements. This feature is available in both versions of StoreSense.

You may choose to notify customers via e-mail when their order is shipped, or if you have applied a credit to their account. These communications provide an additional level of Customer Service often missing from Internet Commerce.

Through the Customer Plus Module you can provide your customers with access to their entire order history, individual order status and customer profile. Order status is updated automatically and profiles can be updated by the customer at any time. Offering this information allows you to easily provide a superior level of service with no overhead.
