Al Ghazzali

Born in the year 1058 in eastern Persia, Al-Ghazzali was a philosopher and Sufi mystic, author of numerous books, and a man of pothymathic ability. He wrote on conditioning, indoctrination, and obsession, and his teachings had a significant influence on both Islamic and Christian thinkers of Medieval times. The Alchemy of Happiness is Al-Ghazzali’s own abridgement of his masterwork, The Revival of Religious Sciences
