Mailman List Server

List server software maintains a database of people who subscribe to a mailing list, and sends email to all subscribers automatically. The list server software that we offer as an account option is Mailman.

There are two main ways that a list server sends email: "one-to-many" and "many-to-many". "One-to-many" (called a moderated list) means that only one person (the list owner) sends email to the subscribers. With this method, the volume content, and quality of the email is controlled. On a "many-to-many" list server (or an unmoderated list) every subscriber can send email to other subscribers. The volume, content, and quality of email in this kind of system is dependent on the subscribers.

In addition to being moderated and unmoderated, lists can be open or closed. Subscribers to an open list will be approved automatically unless they specify an address different from the one in their email header. All subscriptions to closed lists will be sent to the list owner for approval.

Our basic $10 per month charge assumes a subscription list of less than 500. You may add subscribers in increments of 500 for $5 dollars each per month. A $25 one-time setup fee is required to set up a mailing list.
